No tracking. No advertising and no account. The only third-party script is the payment provider's checkout, loaded on the payment page alone. We count visits anonymously: daily totals of pages viewed, which kind of site sent the visit and how many people reach each step of the calculator. No cookies are used for this.
If you buy the report: we store your trip details and what the plan cost when you bought it with an order number and the payment status, amount and transaction ID, so your report link works and we can handle refunds. Two cookies make the report work: one keeps it unlocked, and one holds a random device code, so the report can open on one device per traveller, plus one. We store that code only in scrambled form (a keyed hash), with a random name we give it (such as “Amber Puffin”), the times it first and last opened the report and, if you choose one, whether it is a phone, tablet or computer, so you can tell your devices apart; no IP address, browser details or anything else about the device. A copy of the report is kept on your device so it works offline. Both cookies are strictly necessary for the report you bought.
Paying: your name, email and payment details go to Paddle, the merchant of record, under its own privacy notice. We don't receive them.
Unpaid orders are deleted after 30 days. Trip details and device records are deleted when access to the report ends, 30 days after the trip (device records within an hour if the order is refunded). The bare order record is kept for our accounts. Emails are deleted once the matter is closed.
You can ask for a copy of your data, or to have it deleted. We hold no name or email against an order, so send your order number or report link to support@iskland.com. Deleting the order also ends access to the report. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
If we change how we handle data, we update this page first. The date above shows the current version.
